Conference VetPhage Convention - April 5th, 2023

Vésale Bioscience would like to invite you to participate in the inaugural Phage Academy Event at the Business Village Ecolys in Namur, which will feature a discussion on the issue of AMR in Animal Health. The event and reception are free of charges but it is recommended to fill out the registration form.

Short description of the day:

Antibiotic resistance in production and breeding animals is a major problem for the agricultural and veterinary sectors.

In this context, phage therapy seems to be a promising alternative and is arousing renewed interest.

The Royal Military Hospital Queen Astrid, veterinary research centers and universities, but also other private actors have been paying a lot of attention to it for some years. Vésale Bioscience (www.phage.health) is one of them.

The event that the Phage Academy* is organizing on April 5, 2023, will address, in a discursive and friendly way, the issue of AMR in animal health, in general, and in bovine mastitis and production animals, in particular.

The floor will be given to academic experts and representatives of the veterinary world.

The discussions and debates will be moderated by Christian Du Brulle, Editor-in-Chief of DailyScience.be.

They will be enhanced by the presence of Minister David Clarinval, Deputy Prime Minister, Federal Minister for SMEs and Agriculture.

This event is intended for anyone -association, research centers and researchers, media- concerned by this issue and production animal health.

*The Phage Academy (by Vésale Bioscience) is a place to meet and share experiences on any issue related to the concrete use of phages in human and veterinary medicine and aims to highlight the difficulties encountered in the field, the present and future challenges as well as the sustainable results of the research.
