- August 15, 2024: abstract submission closes
- August 30, 2024: notification to authors (announcement who will be invited for an oral/poster/pitch presentation)
- September 2, 2024: registration deadline
Abstract guidelines
- Submit your abstract via the dedicated submission form (submission is closed).
- Abstracts must be in English
- The abstract title can be max 200 characters (including spaces)
- The abstract text (without the title and author information) must not exceed 1750 characters (including spaces)
- Each participant can submit max 2 abstracts
- When submitting your abstract, you will need to select your preferred session: (1) Fundamental research in phage ecology and biology, or (2) Present and future applications
All submissions will be reviewed by the scientific committee. The best proposals will be considered for oral or poster (pitch) presentations. Results will be communicated by email to the presenting author.

Poster/pitch award
BSVoM, together with its sponsors, is pleased to award prizes for the best poster and the best 3 min pitch talk. A dedicated jury will select the winners. If you wish to participate, please indicate this in the abstract submission form.
Please note that only BSVoM members are eligible for the best poster or pitch award. Every person with an interest in Belgian research, development and applications of viruses of microbes can become a member, free of charge. We encourage bachelor and master students with a keen interest in viruses of microbes to apply for membership too.
Registration
- Registration fee: €40
- You can register via Eventbrite by using this link (multiple participants can be registered at the same time).
- Payment options: Bancontact, credit or debit card, PayPal, iDEAL, Sofort. Cash is not accepted; invoices only when online payment is not possible.
- There is no refund in case of cancellation.
- The acceptance of an abstract does not mean free-of-charge participation. Registration, travel and accommodation will remain at the charge of abstract presenters.
